NZME (Formerly TRN) has launched a brand new iHeartRadio station called Kiwi Kids. The station features songs from the finalists of the last two years Children’s Music Awards, alongside songs and rhymes written for Kiwi kids performed by Kiwi musicians.
Carolyn Luey, Head of iHeartRadio says the station targets children from the ages of two to six years of age.
“There is a real resurgence in demand for children’s music and the timing was perfect to launch the new station after the Children’s Music Award winners have recently been named, many of which are on iHeartRadio’s Kiwi Kids station.”
Both APRA (The Australasian Performing Right Association) and iHeartRadio are excited about this station as Luey says it offers a place where children, parents and teachers can enjoy music at no cost that is fun and offers variety.
“As a Mum and someone who loves music, I am excited that there is a station full of music with catchy rhymes. iHeartRadio's Kiwi Kids is a one stop shop for music for my children and for any family that never want to hear the 'Frozen' theme song again!”
iHeartRadio’s Kiwi Kids is absolutely free and can be found at http://www.iheart.com/live/kiwi-kids-6611/
