APN has today announced a series of senior sales appointments across its New Zealand Media publishing and online businesses. The appointments are the result of a restructure to create a single sales organisation, reflecting client needs for more integrated media solutions across the broad range of the company’s media assets.

Commenting on the new sales team, Group Sales Director New Zealand Media, Andrew McNally said: “Our clients recognise that we have great connection to New Zealanders across our media mix, with the potential to deliver more powerful media solutions for advertisers by utilising our assets in
a more collaborative manner. These appointments will deliver this outcome.”

The new appointments are as follows:

Donna O'Keeffe has been appointed to the new role of Agency Sales Director with responsibility for key accounts and agency representation across New Zealand and Australia. Donna was previously Sales Director of APN Digital and had previously worked for The New Zealand Herald. Donna will lead a combined online and print sales team.

Jacqueline Freeman has been appointed Sales Development Director with responsibility for sales product development and ensuring that the APN Sales organisation is constantly developing innovative commercial product strategies and initiatives. Jacqueline will work with advertisers to ensure APN continues to develop publishing products that deliver effective audience solutions.

Daniel Dalton has been appointed Sales Director - Direct and Sections with responsibility for entertainment, our newspaper inserted magazines, and direct sales across The New Zealand Herald, nzherald.co.nz, Herald on Sunday and Aucklander.

Karen Prendergast has been appointed as Sales Director Classifieds. Karen joins the team from New Zealand Magazines where she has worked as the Trading Manager.

Andrew Miller continues in the position of Sales Director Magazines and takes on responsibility for the weekly canvas magazine, published by The New Zealand Herald.

The changes will also enable APN to:
- Collaborate more effectively with APN Outdoor and TRN
- Establish more focused multi-media representation in Wellington and Australia
- Create a dedicated strategic sales unit that will work on content and integration solutions for clients

“Our new product announcements and the reorganisation of the sales team will ensure that we can deliver the right media solutions to reach our highly engaged audiences in the right manner,” said McNally.

These key appointments are part of the new APN sales organisation will officially launch from Monday September 3.
